An Attorney Friend

Some might think that attorney and friend in the same phrase is just plain wrong! Not so, not always, not this time. Someone who has values, someone who treats you like "someone special" when you walk in the door to sign on as a client, someone who treats you better than some of your own family members, that is a friend. They are rarer than blue M&Ms, but they can be found, much like a good woman, a faithful husband, or a grateful child. You just have to live long enough, I guess or be needy long enough to need a "good" attorney. Thankfully, I found one. Someone who goes to bat for all of his clients, even those like me with a little money, and yes, even those indigent folk that cry out, "help" you are my only hope. And he does, help, and so does his staff, sometimes wondering aloud if the long hours and toil and sweat are worth it, but always coming to the conclusion at the end of a good day, that "well, I suppose, it is." Don't ask anyone in that office on a bad day about clients, you will be met with frowns, grunts and "you can have this job." But on those good days, those really good days when everyone has worked hard as a team, and it all comes together like a sweet dream, they all smile and say, "Well, I guess it is alright after all." Here's to the "good" attorneys, God bless them, every one!
